DescriptionThe Foundation supports nonprofits in Arkansas, western Iowa, Kansas, western Missouri, and Nebraska and to a less extent in Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Montana. The Foundation’s areas of interest include higher education, human services, arts and culture, and health care and hospitals. Priority is given to brick and mortar projects, including building construction, renovation, repairs, and restoration. Grants are made to nonprofits in geographic areas that have connections to the Ash Grove Cement Company. The Foundation generally awards grants to larger, well-established nonprofits. Start-ups and small, grassroots organizations are encouraged to seek funding elsewhere. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
