DescriptionThe Foundation awards grants to nonprofits, boating clubs, and student groups in the United States for projects that utilize innovative approaches to education about safe and clean boating. Priority is given to unique projects (where the uniqueness can be found in the topic, methods, or delivery mechanism); those that include extensive outreach to boaters; those that use technology to educate boaters, including social media and the Web; have a widespread reach; including hands-on work with the boating community; have a way of measuring the program’s success, and facilitate changes in the boating community. Letters of intent are requested. Additional information including what the Foundation does not support can be found on the Web site.
