DescriptionThe Organization, in partnership with the Rasmuson Foundation, awards grants in its Collection Management Fund. The Fund will award grants in one of three areas: supplies and equipment, training, and professional services. Supplies and equipment grants support general collections management needs and specific project needs. Shipping costs are considered an eligible grant expense. Priority will be given to emergency conservation projects. Training grants may be used to train museum staff and community participants. Professional service grants support the temporary hiring of professionals who can provide expertise or services beyond the capacity of local staff. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, government agencies, tribal entities, and organizations that hold collections in the public trust such as a museum or cultural center. Preference will be given to collaborative projects. Additional information including application instructions can be found on the Web site.
