Description

The Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for the people of Central Florida. The Foundation helps create innovative civic solutions that help people help themselves. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on the following areas: human service, education, health care, and a limited interest in the arts. Grants are awarded to organizations headquartered within the following counties: Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Lake in Central Florida. The Foundation has made challenge and development grants, construction and renovation grants, grants for equipment and expansion of functions as well as for pilot projects, seed start-up of new programs, and study or planning grants to determine feasibility and market. Over 50 percent of the Foundation’s grants are on a challenge or match basis, either “pay-as-matched” or “all-or-nothing.” Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
