Description

The Foundation was created from the sale of a local hospital in Lancaster, South Carolina. Grantmaking is focused on areas that will improve the health of the citizens of the community. Grants are awarded in three areas: adult literacy, responsive grants, and teacher’s pet grants. Responsive grants support innovative project and programs in the areas of prevention and education to enhance health and wellness in Lancaster County, Fort Lawn, and Great Falls, S.C. Teacher’s Pet grants aim to inspire and encourage teaching professionals to seek out creative concepts that have the potential for enhancing community life through the education of youth. The Foundation seeks to make grants that will have a significant and long-lasting impact on the community. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
