DescriptionThe Society’s ACS Award for Encouraging Women into Careers in the Chemical Sciences recognizes significant accomplishments by individuals who have stimulated or fostered the interest of women in chemistry, promoting their professional developments as chemists or chemical engineers. The award consists of $5,000 and a certificate. In addition, the Society will give a $10,000 grant to an academic institution, designated by the recipient, to strengthen its activities in meeting the award’s objectives. And the Society will reimburse up to $1,500 in travel expenses to the meeting where the award is presented. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
