DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the investment management Firm. Its mission is to empower people globally to reach their full potential. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on the following areas: education or gender equality and economic development. A third category, Critical Human Needs, is limited to organizations serving Orange County, Calif., or the New York City metropolitan area. Education grants support organizations that concentrate on early childhood education or college access for low-income, high-risk, first generation college students. Gender Equality and Economic Development grants support organizations that empower women and girls to develop their collective voice to bring about change, as well as long-term approaches to women’s and girl’s financial empowerment.
