DescriptionThe foundation's areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the environment, the crisis of human population and reproductive freedom, Native Americans, arts, education, medicine, and human services. Grants are also awarded for family services, such as projects to prevent sexual abuse, recruit foster parents, and integrate low-income families into communities. Preference is given to organizations that show a record of achievement, that have an intended broad impact, and use sound financial practices. Two-page inquiry letters must use both sides of one sheet of unbleached, recycled paper and are accepted throughout the year.
