Kopelman Foundation
Category: General
DescriptionThe Foundation’s funding priorities are targeted at three areas: educational programs; healthcare and medicine; and Jewish programs. Under the educational area, projects that focus on disadvantaged children; ways in which the use of technology can improve teaching and learning; educational practices versus educational research; and programs that emphasize problem-solving, self-initiative, or entrepreneurship are of particular interest. Healthcare and medicine grants fund projects addressing cancer, familial dysautonomia, and Crohn’s disease and colitis. Funding for Jewish programs seeks to advance a deeper understanding of Judaism and to assist Jewish organizations in making a positive contribution to contemporary public life. The Foundation gives high priority to early-stage, entrepreneurial projects that will have a direct, measurable impact on substantive problems of today’s society. Inquiries and proposals are only accepted via e-mail. Applicants are asked to send a one-page program synopsis.
