Description

The Foundation’s mission is the improved health of the Metropolitan St. Louis community and its people. The Foundation’s values include justice, hope, service, identity, and faithfulness. It envisions a community that values the health and well-being of all children and gives priority attention to the most vulnerable. Health includes an acknowledgement that poverty and racism are key factors that negatively affect health. The Foundation awards small grants of $5,000 throughout the year. Large grants focus on organizational capacity building through investments in institutional infrastructure and community capacity building through investments in civic infrastructure. In addition, the Foundation awards congregational grants to United Church of Christ congregations and scholarships to assist nursing students. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
