The Foundationís grantmaking focus is on people and projects that further a balance between the advancement of technology and the preservation of the natural/human environment. Grants are awarded in the areas of agriculture; aviation/aerospace; conservation of natural resources including animals, plants, water, and general conservation; education including humanities/education; the arts and intercultural communication; exploration; health including biomedical research, health and population sciences, and adaptive technology; and waste minimization and management. Grants are awarded for seed money and to give credibility to pilot projects.
