Description

The Foundation supports organizations that provide bereavement support services and grief counseling to children and teens who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or loved ones. Strong preference is given to independent bereavement centers and camps, not affiliated with a hospital or hospice, that demonstrate a commitment to the use of community trained volunteers. Preference is also given to programs that demonstrate multicultural competence in addressing children and adolescent bereavement needs. Potential applicants are asked to email the name of the program, Web site address, the name of the executive director, the name of the program director, and the program location. Do not send letters of inquiry or anything else. Grant applications are by invitation only and are sent to potential grant recipients during the last quarter of each year. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
