Arts Work Fund For Organizational Development

DescriptionThe Fund is a funder collaborative created to help strengthen the management and operations of small arts and cultural organizations in Chicago and Cook County. The Fund assists small arts and cultural organizations looking to develop their organizational capacity. Chicago-area arts and cultural organizations with operating expenses between $50,000 and $800,000 are eligible for grants in three areas: organizational planning, marketing and financial management. Grant funded projects may take a variety of forms tailored specifically to the organization receiving it. Eligible projects include market research, developing financial management capacity, expanding audience development strategies, building fund development capacity, planning for leadership success, and improving board functioning/governance. Also eligible are projects that develop and implement an evaluation system, establish or refine personnel or volunteer management systems, organizational or executive coaching, business and strategic planning, and/or information technology and technology planning.
