Fund For Southern Communities

Category

: Regional

Description

The Fund supports and unites organizations and donors working to create just and sustainable communities that are free of oppression and that embrace and celebrate all people. The Fund fosters social change initiated by community-based groups in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Social change is defined as workers rights, environmental justice, economic justice, nontraditional arts and media, and other issues. The Fund is unusual in that it awards grants to community organizations that are working to address the systems and structure that cause community problems. Grants support new or existing projects, as well as the general operating needs of small organizations with budgets of $150,000 or less. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
