The Margaret Mcnanara Memorial Fund

Description

Named for Margaret Craig McNamara, the wife of former World Bank president Robert McNamara, the Fund awards grants to exceptional women with financial need from developing and middle-income countries. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working to empower women and children in developing countries. Women must be 25 years old at the time of the application deadline and must be enrolled at an accredited academic institution at the time of the application and plan to be enrolled for a full academic year upon receipt of the grant. Currently, the Fund manages education grants in three regions: US/Canada, South Africa, and Latin America. Eligibility criteria vary among the regional programs. The deadline is for US/Canada grants.
