Description

The Foundation’s areas of interest include environmental programs; conservation programs for low-income children and youth; and teen pregnancy protection. Environmental programs should address protecting threatened rivers and forests, nurturing native fish, and conserving land and open space for ecological and recreational purposes. Conservation programs should provide opportunities for economically disadvantaged children to learn how to protect their natural resources. Preventing teen pregnancy projects should address the impact of overpopulation on the country’s natural resources. Letters of intent must be postmarked by the third Wednesday of January and August; full proposals must be postmarked by the first Wednesday of March and October. Organizations in Oregon and Washington are eligible to apply.
