Amelia Peabody Foundation
Category: Regional
DescriptionThe Foundation’s mission is to increase, through close collaboration with local agencies, the number, range, and depth of positive learning experiences available to materially disadvantaged young people living in the cities and towns of Massachusetts. The Foundation provides grants for programs, operations, and capital projects. Most grants are provided to nonprofits that offer programs for underserved inner-city youth. Grants may help an existing organization to increase its capacity for service where it is currently situated. However, occasional grants help an organization to establish a new facility where no such facility exists, bringing services to a neighborhood for the first time. Priority is given to organizations that employ staff who are members of the population being served. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
