Description

The Foundation funds and supports worldwide research, conservation, and education projects that focus primarily on charismatic threatened wildlife and their habitats. An important funding focus has been on understanding and protecting the largest shark species. The Foundation’s Small Grant program is an annual program that is designed for short (12 months) and small (grants average $5,000) projects dedicated to early career scientists. These grants are aimed at original and innovative startup projects as well as presenting early career scientists, conservation, or educators with an opportunity to prove themselves. Funding in the Small Grant program is awarded for only one financial year. Additional information on the Small Grant program and other grants can be found on the Web site.
