DescriptionThe Foundation is focused on advancing energy efficiency and renewable energy policy in the United States and China. Priority is given to projects and programs that support the following issues: advancing energy efficiency and renewable energy and reducing power generation from conventional coal-fired power plants; increasing the efficiency of U.S. homes and businesses and reducing carbon emissions and utility bills; reducing energy use and carbon pollution through policies that improve vehicle efficiency and promote clean fuels; supporting policies that would put a price on carbon and help avoid the most serious impacts of climate change. In addition the Foundation also supports programs that build national and state support for clean energy and strong climate policies; and those that promote clean energy programs in China. The Foundation only supports local projects if they have been designed for further replication or have broad regional or national implications. Requests may be submitted at any time.
