Buckminster Fuller Institute
Category: General
DescriptionThe Institute’s annual Fuller Challenge invites activists, architects, artist, designers, entrepreneurs, scientists, students, and planners from all over the world to submit innovative solutions to some of humanity’s most pressing problems. The Institute looks for holistic strategies that demonstrate a clear grasp of big-picture dynamics. Proposals that emphasize a new design, material, process, service, tool or technology must be part of an integrated strategy that simultaneously addresses key social, environmental, and economic factors. Entries must be visionary, comprehensive, anticipatory, ecologically responsible, feasible, verifiable, and replicable. Winning initiatives integrate these criteria into powerful design solutions with the potential to play a significant role in the transition to an equitable and sustainable future for all.
