Description

The Foundation provides support to local champions that inspire positive change in communities where Company employees live and work. Priority is given to nonprofits in Camden, NJ., the birthplace of the Company’s flagship soup business and home to its world headquarters. The Foundation donates approximately $1 million annually to a variety of organizations that focus on community wellbeing, youth empowerment, and economic sustainability programming. The Foundation’s signature initiative, the Camden Summer Program, provides constructive activities for 10,000 Camden youth who might otherwise be idle during the summer. The Foundation also supports 15 separate United Way campaigns hosted at Campbell and Pepperidge Farm operating facilities throughout the United States. Grants are made for programs in the following communities: Bakersfield, Emeryville, Stockton, and Dixon Calif.; Bloomfield and Norwalk, Conn.; Lakeland , Fla.; Downers Grove, Ill.; Maxton, N.C.; East Brunswick and Camden, N.J.; Napoleon and Willard, Ohio; Denver and Downington, Penn.; Paris, Texas; Milwaukee, Wis.; Richmond, Utah, and Everett, Wash. Priority is given to applicants who have established an ongoing relationship with the local Campbell or Pepperidge Farm operating facility.
