Description

The Foundation, founded in 1987, has as its vision, strong communities where families thrive. It seeks to partner with nonprofits to improve the quality of life for families and communities in places where O’Neill family members live. Grantmaking is guided by four strategic goals: impact, family engagement, succession, and stewardship. Support is available for capacity building, special projects, and general operations. The Foundation’s Rapid Responsive grants of $5,000 are family centered, represent a community where O’Neill family members are actively involved, and meet the requirements and guidelines for each program area. Communities where O’Neill family members live are: Washington DC (limited to DC proper), Florida (specifically Bonita Springs, Greater Orlando and Naples), Hawaii (the Big Island), New York City (specifically Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island); Maryland (specifically Baltimore City, Annapolis, Anne Arundel county); Ohio (Columbus, Greater Cleveland, and Licking County); Virginia (specifically Virginia Beach and Richmond); and Texas (Austin and Houston). Additional information can be found on the Web site.
