Description

The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, in partnership with the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundations provides general operating support to Chicago-area arts and cultural organizations with annual budgets of up to $500,000. Through the MacArthur-Driehaus Funds for Arts and Culture program, the Driehaus Foundation supports small to mid-sized arts organizations in Chicago as an expression of civic commitment to the community and to help sustain the cultural life of the city and Chicagoland area defined as the five collar counties around Chicago. Eligible arts and culture organizations include but are not limited to the performing arts. Non-performing arts organizations such as museums, historical societies, festivals, film, and literary projects are also eligible to apply for support. Funded organizations are companies that emphasize professional presentation over education or community outreach. The deadline is for mid-sized theater and dance organizations with operating budgets between $151,000 and $500,000 and for other arts and culture organizations with operating budgets between $0 and $500,000. Additional information can be found on the Driehaus Foundation Web site.
