Description

The Fund is the philanthropic arm of the British-based global chemical company with manufacturing sites in Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, Canada, India, and South America. The Fund makes grants to charities based in the United Kingdom that are working on projects around the world helping young or disadvantaged people, especially those suffering deprivation or discrimination. This includes poor, homeless, and vulnerable women and children and those communities affected by poverty, lack of education, malnutrition, and disease. Priority is given to projects that provide support for poor rural people and their communities that enable them to become self-sufficient; those that provide emergency aid to people in times of natural disasters, and those that involve helping communities meet their own needs. The Fund’s Small International grants program provides grants of $750 to $5,000 to support international projects worldwide. Additional information on the small grants program and on the Firm’s Large Grants program can be found on the Web site.
