The Friedman Cheetah Conservation Program

Category: Environment

The Program along with Panthera, supports in situ conservation projects on cheetahs in Africa. Priority is given to research on surveys of the cheetah’s geographical range; identifying cheetah corridors between protected areas; and interventions that mitigate threats to cheetahs. Eligibility for funding extends to individuals and institutions, with priority for projects led by country nationals or in-country non-governmental organizations. The 2015 cycle of grants will begin with an open request for letters of interest from Jan. 1, 2015 to Feb. 1, 2015. Additional information can be found on the Panthera Web site.
