Rosalynn Carter Institute For Caregiving

Category

: Education

Description

The Institute’s Rosalynn Carter Leadership in Caregiving Award, named for the former First Lady, recognizes leadership in implementing innovative partnerships between community agencies and caregiving researchers that bridge the gap between science and practice. Winning partnerships will clearly demonstrate dedication to developing effective evidence-based caregiver interventions that improve the health and well-being of caregivers and effectively reach into the target population. Priority is also given to partnerships that demonstrate collaboration and partnerships between all stakeholders in the caregiving process and those with the potential for developing or more effectively using financial, educational, and human resources to support caregivers. Also of interest are partnerships that have the potential to serve as models for other individuals, groups, organizations, or communities. The Institute is housed on the campus of Georgia Southwestern State University. Nomination guidelines and forms are available on the Web site.
