Description

The Foundation advances ideas and opportunities that can improve the lives of the disadvantaged people in Maine. The Foundation has special interest in strengthening families and helping communities provide them with the supports and opportunities they need to thrive. The Foundation prioritizes improving long-term educational achievement for young children; helping vulnerable Maine youth successfully transition to adulthood; helping low-income parents and caregivers successfully provide for and support their families; and helping more Maine seniors successfully age in place. Preference is given to investing in place-based initiatives, capacity building, research, evaluation, and policy advocacy. Letters of inquiry are accepted.
