DescriptionThe Foundation awards grants to local grassroots organizations throughout the United States that work to protect wild land. Priority is given to organizations that have difficulty raising the modest funds they need to do their critical work in the trenches of environmental conservation. Most Foundation grants have a practical, immediate use such as office and field equipment. The Foundation also provides support for digital and printed publications and other educational materials. The Foundation does not usually consider requests from large national and regional organizations. The Foundation continues to support land protection.
