Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the retail store. It awards funds to enhance local programs benefiting children and families in the communities served by BJ’s Clubs throughout the eastern U.S. Grants are awarded in the following areas: hunger, self-sufficiency, healthcare, and education. Hunger grants support organizations that aim to alleviate hunger and feed those in need. Self-sufficiency grants target organizations that work to prevent clients from becoming homeless, stabilizing them while they are homeless, and supporting them as they come out of homelessness, such as shelter programs and family safety programs. Healthcare grants target organizations that provide healthcare to those who would not normally have access. Education grants promote organizations that provide academic and vocational opportunities for the disadvantaged. The Foundation does not accept applications submitted via U.S. mail. All potential applicants must answer a few short questions and if approved, submit an online application.
