DescriptionThe Company was originally developed to support a patent for a “carbon black making apparatus” that was used in newspaper and magazine printing inks and tires and other rubber goods for the automobile industry. The Company’s charitable giving strategy is designed to support the Company’s community outreach activities, with priority given to science and technology education and community and civic improvement efforts. Charitable giving focuses on providing support in communities around the world where the Company operates including locations in Canada, the United States, Mexico, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Funding decisions are generally made four times a year in February, May, August, and November; grant requests should be received at least 30 days before a board meeting to be considered.
