DescriptionThe Foundation focuses its grantmaking on religious, charitable, scientific, literary and educational uses and purposes in New York, elsewhere in the United States and throughout the world. It was created by a Norwegian shipbuilder and naturalized American philanthropist before his death in 1959. Letters of inquiry are accepted throughout the year.
