Description

The Foundation is a Catholic family foundation committed to honoring the founders’ legacy of generosity to strengthen the Baltimore area community. The Foundation provides funds in five areas of interests with a focus on Catholic organizations, education, and nonprofit leadership. These five areas are: arts and humanities; Catholic activities; education (specifically Catholic schools, nonsectarian private schools specifically catering to special needs) and private colleges and universities; health care; and human services. Within these categories, the Foundation currently funds the following projects: capital expenses, development, new and/or ongoing expenses, operating expenses, and technology. All applicants must be located in the Baltimore Archdiocese. In grantmaking, the Foundation emphasizes the importance of accountability and measurable outcomes. Applicants that serve Baltimore City, and the following counties: Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Howard, and Washington, are eligible to apply. The Foundation accepts requests three times a year – in February, June and October. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
