Hawaii People’s Fund

Description

The Fund, a publicly supported community fund, awards grants to progressive grassroots social change organizations working in Hawaii. The Fund is a unique partnership of donors, activist grantmakers, and grantees committed to positive social change and a more equitable distribution of wealth, resources, and power. The Fund assists groups considered too small, too new, or too controversial by traditional funding agencies. The Fund awards grants in the following categories: cultural activism, human and civil rights, environmental and economic justice, political organizing, youth organizing, indigenous rights, workers’ rights, reproductive justice, and peace and international solidarity.
