Description

The Foundation’s Caritas Fund provides grants to nonprofit organizations and faith-based agencies based in South Carolina that provide outreach services in order to meet the basic needs of the poor. The Foundation is dedicated to efforts, which help build a sustainable, healthy economy, promote educational success, support stronger families, and contribute to long-term community development. Preference is given to programs, which are the result of partnerships and coalitions within communities. The awards of up to $5,000 are designed for organizations with annual budgets of less than $600,000 that are dealing with situational poverty or crisis poverty. Potential applicants are encouraged to review the mission and focus of the Foundation and complete a Caritas Grant application by the designated deadline. Additional information as well as the grant application can be found on the Web site.
