Description

The Foundation recognizes that rural communities are a cornerstone of American life. It has established ongoing giving programs to insure their vitality and growth. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on nonprofits working to improve communities where the Company has a significant concentration of employees. Its funding priority for 2013 is on hunger followed by education and community giving. The Foundation funds national programs and programs in 20 states: Arkansas, California, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin. The deadline for arts and education grants is April 1; for hunger it’s July 1; for all other requests, the grant deadline is Oct. 1. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
