DescriptionThe Foundation engages in grantmaking that reflects the basic tenets, beliefs, and philosophies of Honda Companies, which are characterized by the following qualities: imaginative, creative, youthful, forward thinking, scientific, humanistic, and innovative. The Foundation supports nonprofits and educational institutions nationwide that address the areas of youth and scientific education. Priority is given to youth education, specifically in the areas of science, technology, engineering, math, the environment, job training, and literacy. The annual application deadlines are Feb. 1, May 1, Aug. 1, and Nov. 1. A required eligibility quiz and online application are found on the Web site.
