Righteous Persons Foundation
Category: Religion
DescriptionCreated by filmmaker Steven Spielberg with his profits from the movie, “Schindler’s List,” the Foundation works to revitalize Jewish arts, culture, and identity; engage the next generation; inspire a commitment to social justice; and promote understanding between Jews and those of other faiths and backgrounds. Its mission is to support and actively build a thriving Jewish community that reflects the realities of Jewish life in America today. The Foundation does not support individual synagogues or day schools; conferences, seminars, and workshops; or capital or building campaigns. The Foundation accepts letters of inquiry twice a year. Details about each of the programs as well as additional information can be found on the Web site.
