DescriptionCreated by the founder of the Norcross Greeting Card Company, the Foundation, the Foundation supports local grassroots organizations across the United States that work to protect wild land. The Foundation’s constituency is primarily the grassroots community of nongovernmental organizations whose “tool kit” needs are usually modest, specific, and often difficult to address through other funders. Grants are made for office and field equipment, digital and printed publications, educational materials and other areas of need. The Foundation only makes restricted grants for land protection, program-related office and field equipment/technology, and public education materials. It supports a very limited amount of community service work, confined to the New York City metropolitan area and the towns located near Norcross Wildlife Sanctuary.
