The Foundation focuses its grantmaking support on the conservation of the natural environment and the well being of animals and human beings, primarily in Maine. Animal welfare grants emphasize capacity building and reducing the unwanted cat population. Environment grants support community conservation projects, land protection, and local foods. Human well being grants address the issues of food security and vibrant communities. Through its giving, the Foundation seeks to make a significant impact, inspire the generosity of others, and empower those who share its vision.
