DescriptionCreated by the late pediatrician and entrepreneur, Dr. David H. Smith, the Foundation is dedicated to the belief that the power of individuals and organizations can make significant changes in the world. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on the following areas: sustainable agriculture, environmental education, and environmental health. Priority is given to proposals demonstrating strong elements of environmental justice and/or conservation within the program areas. While the Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals, it does welcome letters of inquiry. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
