Description

The Foundation was one of two founded by publisher and philanthropist William Randolph Hearst. Grantmaking is focused on four areas: education, health, social service and culture. Proposal evaluation is divided geographically, east and west of the Mississippi River. There are no deadlines or formal application forms. Applicants are asked to submit a one-page executive summary accompanied by a full proposal. The Foundation will not award money for building projects.
