The Glaser Progress Foundation
Category: General
DescriptionThe Foundation, created, endowed and led by Rob Glaser, founder and chairman of the board of RealNetworks, aims to build a more just, sustainable, humane world by supporting nonprofits with a national focus and a strong history of success in targeted program areas. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on the following areas: measuring progress, independent media, animal advocacy, and global HIV/AIDS. Measuring progress grants support programs and projects that seek to build a better future by improving our understanding and measurement of human progress rather than the relying on the Gross Domestic Product and the stock market. Independent media grants seek to strengthen democracy by making independent voices heard. Animal advocacy grants seek to assist humane organizations in combating companion animal overpopulation in the Pacific Northwest. The Foundation does not accept request for grants in the global HIV/AIDS program area. Details about each program are found on the Web site.
