Description

The Foundation recognizes that rural communities are a cornerstone of American life and has established ongoing giving programs to ensure their vitality and growth. The Foundation helps rural communities prosper and prepare for tomorrow by donating resources that develop and strengthen organizations dedicated to human services, education and youth, civic activities, and the arts. The Foundation gives funds to programs in communities in 25 states – Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin. The deadline is for Arts and Culture grants. Applications for the arts and culture grants are accepted only once a year with an April 1 postmarked deadline. Applications for the following year will only be accepted on or after January 1. Applications for grants under $5,000 may be submitted at any time.
