DescriptionThe Foundation assists people in the Southeast United States to build just and caring communities that nurture people, spur enterprise, bridge differences, and foster fairness. The Foundation is dedicated to helping people and places move out of poverty and achieve greater social and economic justice. Preference is given to grassroots groups and networks in low-wealth communities who are poised to expand their scale of impact. The Foundation also supports statewide and regional organizations as well as networks that are achieving large-scale impact. It’s interested in both new approaches and proven strategies. Applications are accepted from nonprofits in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
