DescriptionThe Foundation, which is now again accepting new requests, supports grassroots organizations and movements working to change environmental, social, economic, and political conditions to bring about a more just, equitable, and sustainable world. Funding interests are: environmental justice, sustainable agriculture and food systems, and reproductive rights. Grants are awarded throughout the United States in both rural and urban communities. The Foundation also supports nonprofits that advocate for sustainable practices in New York City. Preference is given to grassroots movements that are among the strongest forces in society to hold public policymakers and private corporations accountable.
