Siemens We Can Change The World Challenge

Category

: Education

Description

The fifth annual Challenge funded by Siemens Foundation, Discovery Education, the National Science Teachers Association, and the College Board, invites teams of students and their adult advisors to tackle local, regional, and global environmental problems or issues and find replicable green solutions. Students in grades K-5 must tackle local problems; students in grades 6-8 are charged with tackling regional solutions. Global solutions, with an emphasis on energy, biodiversity, land management, water conservation and clean up, and air or climate, are the problems to be solved by students in grades 9-12. The program invites entries from students and team advisors (who must be full- or part-time school employees) in the United States. Both teams and schools win prizes. The grant amount listed is for the schools. The listed deadline is the last day to submit program information online. Submission information and other details can be found on the Web site.
