Intel And Scholastic Schools Of Distinction Awards

Description

Rewarding schools for programs that promote student achievement and innovation in education is the objective behind the Awards. The program is open to K-12 public, private, charter, parochial, Department of Defense, and Bureau of Indian Affairs schools. Home schools are not eligible to apply. A school may apply for an Award in any of the following nine categories: academic achievement, literacy achievement, mathematics achievement, science achievement, technology excellence, technology innovation, leadership excellence, professional development, and collaboration and teamwork. Two winners will be selected per category, one from an elementary school and one from a secondary school. Each category winner receives $10,000 from the Intel Foundation and educational products from Scholastic. “Best of the Best” winners receive an additional $15,000 from the Intel Foundation.
