Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the electronics Company. It seeks to promote quality science and mathematics education in U.S. K-12 schools. The Foundation provides grants for two initiatives: the Grants Program for K-5 Science and Math Education awards grants of up to $1,000 to teachers in public or private schools in order to improve the teacher’s science and math teaching units. The application deadline for this grant is October 1. The Grants Program for 6-12 Science and Math Education provides small grants of up to $5,000 and large grants of over $5,000 to teachers who are passionate about making science and mathematics more engaging for their students. Applications for small grants may be submitted throughout the year. The annual application deadlines for large grants are February 1 and August 1. Before submitting a completed proposal, teachers are welcome to call the Foundation to discuss their project ideas. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
