DescriptionThe Fund’s mission is to promote vibrant communities and a healthy, natural environment while encouraging long-term vitality in Vermont. The Fund supports work in the following areas: reducing reliance on fossil fuels by encouraging energy efficiency and renewable energy; improving the sustainability and viability of agricultural enterprise and food security and affordability; and encouraging vibrant, compact settlements surrounded by working farms and forests. The Fund gives priority to initiatives where innovation, private market forces, and social entrepreneurship contribute to a project’s success and its broad impact.
