The Heineman Foundation For Research, Education, Charitable And Scientific Purposes

Description

The Foundation, established in 1948 by Dannie and Hettie Heineman, provides seed money to start-up projects and new projects within existing organizations. Priority is given to programs that enable economically challenged women to enter and remain in the workplace; environmental research that will help prevent, reduce, and/or eliminate water degradation; live music performance for education and outreach; research into prevention/treatment of childhood illness. Also of interest are programs that enable youth to think, create, and communicate effectively as well as programs that support and promote high achievement in music, science, and literature. Organizations in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, and North Carolina are eligible to apply.
